Description Maciej Józiewicz 2007-02-21 10:03:52 UTC
xorg-docs is emerge along with the whole xorg but it is the only ebuild that returns a bad md5 status. the hash is totally different. I tried it first with only the default 2006.1 USE flags and today I added quite a lot more as it's a desktop system so I need support of al audio and video stuff and cd/dvd burning.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.'emerge xorg-docs' or emerge anything that has it as a dependency
Actual Results:
It is downloaded and the ebuild, auxfile and miscfile checksums are checked ok and than on the 'main' file (the xorg-docs-1.2.tar.bz2) it crashes because of a different md5 hash.

Expected Results:
Ofcourse it should have calculated hash that is the same as the one provided and emerge smoothly.

this is what i get:
 * checking ebuild checksums ;-) ...                                      [ ok ]
 * checking auxfile checksums ;-) ...                                     [ ok ]
 * checking miscfile checksums ;-) ...                                    [ ok ]
 * checking xorg-docs-1.2.tar.bz2 ;-) ...                                 [ !! ]

Works for me.

What happens if you issue
   GENTOO_MIRRORS="" emerge -1 xorg-docs
?
Comment 2 Donnie Berkholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-19 02:11:43 UTC
Please reopen if this remains an issue after a sync and deleting it from your distfiles.
