"Rubrica is an addressbook for Gnome desktop. Rubrica store personal data (first name, last name,...), web urls and emails, telepnone numbers (home,...), job data (company name, company address, assigment in company), notes (contact is married,...)" I've made the ebuild which should have the name rubrica-1.0.0cr1.ebuild, but emerge doesn't cope with it, giving me: Calculating dependencies \Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/emerge", line 1808, in ? retval,favorites=mydepgraph.select_files(myfiles) File "/usr/bin/emerge", line 637, in select_files if not self.create(["ebuild",portage.root,mykey],None,"--onlydeps" not in myopts): File "/usr/bin/emerge", line 588, in create edepend[x]=string.join(portage.portdb.aux_get(mykey,[x]), " ") File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/portage.py", line 3007, in aux_get myebuild=self.findname(mycpv) File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/portage.py", line 2987, in findname myloc=self.oroot+"/"+mysplit[0]+"/"+psplit[0]+"/"+mysplit[1]+".ebuild" TypeError: unsubscriptable object because of the cr1 I guess. Going to attach the ebuild anyway.
Created attachment 8917 [details] rubrica's ebuild Has problems because of the cr1 bit.
Created attachment 9142 [details] ebuild for Rubrica 1.0.0 ebuild for rubrica 1.0.0, so the cr problem goes away :-)
Created attachment 18731 [details] rubrica-1.0.5.ebuild
Created attachment 25665 [details] rubrica-1.0.12.ebuild This is the latest release from the stable branch. It has been ported to gnome2 now and runs very nicely. I am willing to keep this current if you are interested. I'm going to do it for myself anyway.
Version bump, which fixed some VCard engine bugs. Only required renaming of the ebuild. Works great, any interest?
no one cares.... I've stopped submiting ebuilds for this, and other stuff 'cause of this.. Have fun Ps.: how do I get ride of beeing a Reporter anyway? Don't want to track this anymore.
Please have some patience, the appropriate people will introduce it to the tree when they feel it's ready or simply when they get around to it.
it's almost a year since my firste build..
Sorry Andre, I'll stop posting to this so you won't be bothered. I completely understand your frustration. It's probably better to just maintain a private collection and share them occasionally on the Gentoo forums.
don't stop posting ebuilds 'cause of me, really!
Created attachment 55308 [details] rubrica-1.0.13.ebuild latest from stable branch.
Looks like there was a dev release recently, needs it's own specific library as well. Anyone want to pick this one up?
1.0.16 Is now out. Would be cool to see this in been wanting to give it a shot. Going to grab a ebuild and stick it in my overlay now.
Created attachment 109643 [details] rubrica-1.0.16.ebuild ebuild for new version
Created attachment 127911 [details] rubrica-2.0.ebuild Meanwhile rubrica 2.0.0 is out and the ebuild works fine so far, some minor changes needed though
Either find a maintainer, or if you want to maintain it yourself, feel free to reopen and join project sunrise, details here: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/sunrise WONTFIX.
I should have mentioned that I wanted to wait for a bug fix release coming this September and bring it into Portage then...why is a maintainer-wanted bug closed?
(In reply to comment #17) > I should have mentioned that I wanted to wait for a bug fix release coming this > September and bring it into Portage then...why is a maintainer-wanted bug > closed? Because it's been sitting here since 2003. If you want to add it, re-assign to yourself. There's 2500 maintainer-wanted bugs cluttering bugzilla, most of which are dead stuff that noone's interested to maintain.
desktop-misc are you willing to be added to metadata.xml as a herd once I put it into Portage?
(In reply to comment #19) > desktop-misc are you willing to be added to metadata.xml as a herd once I put > it into Portage? > Sure, but fix HOMEPAGE in ebuild first.. to http://rubrica.berlios.de which is actually readable :-)
This is in Portage now. Have fun with version 2.0.2
