Description gmud 2007-02-19 17:47:54 UTC
There is a new version 0.9

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Marcelo Goes (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-23 01:06:19 UTC
From build log:

checking for main in -lufo... no
Error! You need to have libUFO installed

We need to get libUFO in the tree before being able to build it, since it is an obligatory dependency...
More information: http://libufo.sourceforge.net/

Mental note to self: have a look into it.
(If anyone wants to help, feel free).

media-libs/ufo committed, looking into this now
Comment 3 Kevin Fullerton 2007-07-20 19:13:30 UTC
Had a look at doing a bump to 0.11 (latest version) but requires wkGTK 2.8 which isn't in the tree yet.
Comment 4 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-28 11:44:34 UTC
>=wxGTK-2.8 is now in the tree, but by default it's impossible to build it without unicode. fe3d does not work correctly with wxWidgets unicode version (see known issues on upstream site) and configure fails:
"/usr/bin/wx-config --version --unicode=no gl, core, base, xml" does not return any version.
Thus until upstream provides version which works with Unicode I do not see what we can do here. Resolving as LATER ATM. Please reopen if new version of fe3d will be released.
Comment 5 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-02 18:04:20 UTC
Well, some changes were done upstream. Now fe3d does not require unicode.
Comment 6 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-02 18:08:25 UTC
Well, I've added fe3d-0.11_p77 to the tree. It has some issues, mentioned upstream and in elog, but seem to work here. Enjoy :)
