Description Susie Edgeworth 2003-03-03 14:53:11 UTC
ASCII isn't appearing in dialogues. Also it isn't fully showing characters on
the ascii list off of the imput bar.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

I tried recompiling and again same issue. I didn't notice anything in the
ebuild or README that might of explained this issue.

1) What version of Xchat
2) What are your locale settings
3) What font settings for the parts
4) if xchat-2, what character set for that server?

I've resolved this problem. It seems on install for both xchat versions (I've gone back to 1.8x) it turns on "use a font set." This needs to be turned off in order for extended ascii to work.

To fix it:

settings -> setup -> interface - channel windows

untick "use a font set"

Repeat for "dialog windows"
