I Use many packages from testing, but I am not sure if it is safe use this testing version of binutils , seems an important part of the system, and seems that also has a problem with "test" (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144419) :-(
Shrug, we are not fixing tests in old binutils versions.
