Description Collin Day 2007-02-16 13:47:10 UTC
I recently put a fresh install of Gentoo on my machine. When I try to "emerge xorg-x11" I get !!!Error: circular dependencies: .... with a list that is too long to put in here. Apparently something is broken and because the monolithic X has been completley removed, there is no way to go back.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge xorg-x11
2.
3.

Actual Results:
List of circular dependencies

Expected Results:
Should have installed X

I just installed gentoo following the handbook. It should work.
