looks like the power management guide found at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/power-management-guide.xml is no longer up to date: in chapter "7. Sleep States: sleep, standby, and suspend to disk" it says that hibernate-script comes with two configuration files, while the ebuild says following: * Starting with hibernate-script-1.90 the configuration files have * been reordered and split into method specific files. Make sure you * update your /etc/hibernate/ configuration files accordingly.
Created attachment 110343 [details, diff] power-management-guide.xml.patch Patch with the rewrite of hibernate-script's configuration.
CCing the author and the mobile herd to make sure the technical information is correct. I don't use hibernate script, but I did emerge it and read through all the new config files. Can you please comment to make sure I'm on the right track? Thanks.
(In reply to comment #2) > Can you please comment to make sure I'm on the right track? Looks sane at a first glance.
Looks good to me as well, though I can't do any real tests - I don't use Gentoo on my laptop anymore :-/ Thanks for the update however :)
Thanks to Jan and Dennis for reviewing. If there are no corrections pending, I'll commit this in a day or so.
Thanks for reporting (and to the reviewers). Fixed in CVS.
