Description Romain Riviere 2007-02-15 18:29:35 UTC
Every time util-vserver is upgraded, the vdirbase symlink is overwritten with a symlink pointing to /vservers.
Upgrading the package should certainly not overwritte your settings, unless there is something else to it than meets the eye ?

Reproducible: Always

The bug is still present in 0.30.213_rc6 : this is a major issue since it breaks all of the vserver utils.

There's a reason, we put a *user* influenceable variable into the ebuild, showing up in pkg_setup and displaying the following:

* "You can change the default vserver base directory (/vservers)"
* "by setting the VDIRBASE environment variable.

Basically, if you export VDIRBASE=/this/is/where/my/vservers/reside, the ebuild _will_ use the "correct" location for the vdirbase symlink.

My mistake obviously.
Thanks for the heads up.
