Description Andriy Baranskyy 2007-02-15 16:41:26 UTC
I used to use amarok 1.4.4 with xine as an engine. When I upgraded to 1.4.5, amarok cannot find xine-engine any more. It uses helix engine instead, however, helix cannot play majority of the audio streams in the wmv format.

Strangely enough, during the compilation, amarok says that xine would be enabled.

To resolve the issue I tried re-emerging xine-lib and amarok, running revdep-rebuild, but nothing helped.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade Amarok to 1.4.5
2. Check engines

Actual Results:
xine is not present, helix while is

Expected Results:
Xine engine should have been present

ps. When I revert back to Amarok 1.4.4, xine-engine is found. Clearly, there is a problem specifically with 1.4.5.

Reopen with some errors and emerge --info output.
