Since the upgrade to wpa_supplicant-0.5.7 I can't connect to my WPA secured WLAN. Even if I switch to WEP via wireless-tools (and keep wpa_supplicant installed) it doesen't work. After a downgrad to an earlyer version it works again. Here sth. information: - with the new wpa_supplicant I can't see me network via iwconfig, but via iwlist - with the new wpa_supplicant I can't connect via WPA - with the new wpa_supplicant (switched off) I can't connect via WEP (wireless-tools) - with the new wpa_supplicant i got a firmware-error during restarting the ethX-service, it reloads the firmware itself System: Vanilla-Source-2.6.20, ipw-firmware 3.0, ipw build as modul in the kernel emerge --info will follow
Okay, it seems to be more complex: Only if wpa_supplicant is not running the firmware-error appear during service-restart. Well I will upgrade wpa_supplicant again, because I need to test the cross-problem with WEP via wireless-tools (seems to be a specific problem with the router).

Reopen with some errors from the log, we can't guess.
Log thinks everything is okay. I will try to find a "verbose output" option.
