Kindly post error output in English.
Comment 3 ebfe 2007-02-14 07:11:18 UTC
stop the funnylanguage
Comment 4 Marek Kowerski 2007-02-14 22:21:09 UTC
Sorry, gcc don't likes my language settings. I had LC_ALL set to polish utf-8 during that emerge. Unsetting it was enough for emerge to succeed.
I don't like that remark about funny language Mr ebfe (or Mr knabberknusperhaus).
I want gentoo to speak my native language, and i want error messages to be displayed in my native language as well.
Comment 5 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2007-02-14 22:25:48 UTC
gcc should build regardless of the lang ... what are your locale settings ? aka please post the normal output of `locale`
Comment 6 Armin Mohring 2007-03-11 18:34:19 UTC
I have the same error with the following language settings:
LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ALL="en_US.UTF-8"
LINGUAS="en"
Comment 7 Matt Turner gentoo-dev 2008-12-13 21:39:50 UTC
Please update this bug.

Is it still a problem with gcc 4.1.2 or newer?
Comment 8 Matthew Kern 2009-04-11 02:41:12 UTC
Two questions: is this fixed, and why was this ever assigned to the alpha arch?
Comment 9 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-05-17 00:14:56 UTC
gcc-4.1 isn't actively supported anymore. Open a new bug if this is a problem with gcc-4.3.
Comment 10 Marek Kowerski 2009-05-18 16:58:48 UTC
For me the bug is resolved.
I don't use gentoo anymore, thanks heavens!
