Description Benno Schulenberg 2007-02-13 20:49:24 UTC
It isn't quite clear that quicksearch is looking only for open bugs. Consider changing the text under the quicksearch field op the main Bugzilla page to this:

When searching for duplicate bugs, closed bugs, or using multiple
search terms, prefix your entry with 'ALL' (not suffix).

This adds ", closed bugs," to the line, plus a period at the end.

Reproducible: Always

I think that's a good idea. I filed an unnecessary bug recently because I didn't realize that I was only searching open bugs with quick search:

Please add the recommended comment to the search box.
I missed a closed bug earlier this week through not knowing they were not covered.
