The Patch on
http://www.cpbotha.net/dri_resume.html
lets suspend and resume xfree with dri-apps running.
Can we apply this to the xfree 4.3-ebuild? The exact location of the patch is

from the URL you reference, it seems like the drivers are already in 2.4.20...

seemant: The patch contains two parts. One against the kernel (the agpgart-i845-resume.patch) and one against xfree.
The kernel-patch is already in 2.4.20, but the xfree-patch xfree86-dri-resume-v8.patch is not in 4.3.0.

hanno, ah ok that makes sense then.  I'm handing this to lu_zero, as he has radeon experience with xfree..

Last time I checked it was applying almost clear. I'll try now something, probably we just have to add it in the patch collection.
