Description Zack Pearsall 2007-02-13 01:22:25 UTC
Please find attached pyPdf-1.9.ebuild

pyPdf is a small python library for manipulating pdf files.
It can do several basic pdf opereations. Such as extracting/appending/rotating/cropping pages, recompressing files and adding watermarks. I find it very nice and easy to use.

I suggest dev-python/pyPdf

Reproducible: Always

thanks for providing the ebuild. Works also for pyPdf-1.10 which is a more recent version. I also suggest dev-python/pyPdf as a place in portage for this

pyPdf-1.11.ebuild

Create a portir structures like this:
   /usr/local/portage/dev-python/pyPdf

Save there the ebuild, an then generate the Manifest file with:
   # ebuild /usr/local/portage/dev-python/pyPdf/pyPdf-1.11.ebuild digest

Add the ~x86 keyword in your /etc/portage/package.keywords file, to allow
the emerge.

Then emerge with:
   # emerge -va =dev-python/pyPdf-1.11

You should be using an overlay!
Comment 5 Peter Weilbacher 2009-01-23 10:24:53 UTC
I just found pyPdf-1.12 in the default portage tree (still "masked by: missing keyword", though). Does this mean that this bug is obsolete?

(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug)
'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached
to this bug.
This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the
main tree.
Heuristics show that no Gentoo developer has commented on your ebuild.

Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild
submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely
manner. There are simply too many new packages.

Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to
commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry
into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this
and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =)

Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us.
We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time.

Thanks,
On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team,
Jeremy.

What keyword would you like? Currently, it has ~x86 and ~amd64.
Comment 9 Andrey Grozin gentoo-dev 2009-04-14 07:29:57 UTC
It's in the tree. It seems there are no further comments. Closing.
