Hi, Intel released a patched version of the devicescape 80211 wlan stack which is needed for the new iwlwifi driver. I wrote an ebuild but it has the following issue: You are still required to manually build the module, the ebuild just patches your kernel sources. This is a rather bad idea anyway I think, but that's the way intel describes the installation procedure in their README. So if any more competent ebuild writer could address this issue I would be glad. Bye, Momsen Reproducible: Always

New version 1.0.1. This ebuild is mostly based on the work rmh3093 and Lloeki in http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-3906197.html#3906197

The recent changes to the former "devicescape stack" (now called mac80211) made it impossible to build it as a module without modifications to the actual kernel. Refer to intelwireless.org for further information. Just for the record, the patches are now in -mm. Closing as WONTFIX (hope that is appropriate)
Please see bug #174946 for an ebuild of mac80211
