This should be automatically fixed, and finally
ODBC and UNICODE shouls work together.  this might be fixed by patching
wxGTK but not by me.

wxGTK-2.4 is being phased out, see Bug 145032.

ODBC support wasn't fully implemented in the 2.4 series.  it was in 2.6 but the combination of unicode and unixODBC still doesn't work, though i may have a way to fix that soon.
