Any attempt to "emerge world" fails with
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies \
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy
"<=app-cdr/cdrtools-1.11.33".

!!! Error calculating dependancies. Please correct.

Reason:
The newest unmasked xcdroast depends on "<=app-cdr/cdrtools-1.11.33".
However, the cdrtools-1.11.33 have just been removed from the tree,
the oldest version is 1.11.39.

I get this error even after I unmerged "xcdroast" from my system!

There is a newer version of xcdroast not having this dependency, 
but it is still masked.
