Try it from a stage3 tarball and it'll fail. Exactly what do you want? The exact failure message? It says it can't find aclocal-1.9 and automake-1.9 and fails. This is because automake-1.10 is the current stable and the current stable elfutils requires 1.9, instead.
if you actually posted an error then i wouldnt have to sit here and guess at what version of elfutils you're screwing with ive fixed this issue already in newer elfutils ... forcing =automake-1.9* is not the answer
