Description Seth Chandler 2003-02-28 10:17:15 UTC
sethbc@lhotse:/usr/portage$ emerge world --deep -up

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies \

aux_get(): (2) couldn't open cache entry for sys-apps/man-1.5k-r1
               Check for syntax error or corruption in the ebuild.

!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "sys-apps/man" have been masked.
!!! (dependency required by "sys-apps/man-pages-1.55" [ebuild])

i've found this is with all kinds of portage operations...

if i do a repoman commit or something, i get these messages

i have the cache set up right i think...i've rm-rf'd it and regened....still doesn't fix it :/

Did you try deleting and refetching the ebuilds?
Normally when it says syntax error, it means it...
I'll add in a permissions test though.
