Description Stefano 2007-02-06 00:55:34 UTC
I think the source of the problem is the file 95-net.rules

When Aiccu pulls up the ipv6 interface, udev try to execute net.sixxs.

I've tried to create it (once with config_sixxs=( "null" ), the second time specifying all the parameters) but without any success.

As stated in the forum's post (http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-3888758.html#3888758) I've tried also to allow the pulling up by hotplug in /etc/conf.d/rc but without any success.

I think that one possible solution could be modifying the rules pointed above to ignore any if pulled up by aiccu but I dont know how to do.

One more thing. The Aiccu's version available in portage is quite old and I have not had any luck with it. I've used an ebuild patched by me available on Gentoo bugzilla http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=162590

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Upgrade udev
2./etc/init.d/aiccu restart
3.ping6 www.sixxs.net

Actual Results:
dev02 init.d # ping6 www.sixxs.net
PING www.sixxs.net(noc.sixxs.net) 56 data bytes

--- www.sixxs.net ping statistics ---
18 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 17012ms

dev02 init.d #

Expected Results:
dev01 ~ # ping6 www.sixxs.net
PING www.sixxs.net(noc.sixxs.net) 56 data bytes
64 bytes from noc.sixxs.net: icmp_seq=1 ttl=58 time=92.8 ms
64 bytes from noc.sixxs.net: icmp_seq=2 ttl=58 time=90.6 ms

--- www.sixxs.net ping statistics ---
2 packets transmitted, 2 received, 0% packet loss, time 1002ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 90.621/91.750/92.880/1.169 ms
