dev-perl/Text-ChaSen deps on app-text/chasen - but every version of chasen in the tree blocks this module. Any reason to keep it? I tried to install chasen to see what it provides (to make sure that the module is indeed replaced, esp. since a new version was released last week), but I can't get it to build anyway. I'm voting for removing the dev-perl version since it's completely blocked at the moment. Comments?

Me thinks it's all right to remove dev-perl version. It is already included in the app-text/chasen, and it is no longer updated.
(In reply to comment #2) > Me thinks it's all right to remove dev-perl version. It is already included > in the app-text/chasen, and it is no longer updated. > Not true. The perl module was last updated on the 24th of January. http://search.cpan.org/~knok/Text-ChaSen-1.04/
ChangeLog from 1.04 says: 2000-12-18 NOKUBI Takatsugu <knok@daionet.gr.jp> * Verison 1.04. * ChaSen.pm: Fixed bad pod syntax. and it seems that this fix is already included to dev-perl version of Text-ChaSen-1.03. (but app-text version doesn't contain the patch)
(In reply to comment #4) > and it seems that this fix is already included to dev-perl version of > Text-ChaSen-1.03. > (but app-text version doesn't contain the patch) > The purpose of this bug is that the app-text version is completely blocking the dev-perl version, so it can't be installed. We can drop the dev-perl version (its useless right now since it deps on the app-text app, which in turns blocks the dev-perl module). If you're satisfied, we'll go ahead and just remove the module. Alternatively, unblock it :)
dev-perl/Text-ChaSen removed.
