the error looks strange, I don't know why compilation went so far if you have errors with dbus.

Do you have dbus-1.0.2 and dbus-glib-0.72 ?
Comment 2 JBen 2007-02-04 12:58:30 UTC
No I had'nt, I will merge it.

I had dbus-0.62-r2 , and I don't understand why a "emerge -DuN world" did'nt want to merge it...

So I will merge it.

Thanks.
Comment 3 JBen 2007-02-04 22:55:35 UTC
Thanks, it was a dependency problem.

It work fine now.

I had to make a symbolic link of libdbus-1.so.2 to libdbus-1.so.3, in spite of the gnome-session program fails.

Thanks, see you.
Comment 4 Mart Raudsepp gentoo-dev 2007-02-04 23:19:00 UTC
That is not a solution. You need to revdep-rebuild, for example
revdep-rebuild -X --library=libdbus-1.so.2
Without that you will most likely have different bizarre issues down the road.
Comment 5 JBen 2007-02-05 12:13:02 UTC
Must I delete the symbolic link of libdbus-1.so.2 before run revdep-rebuid. I think, if I don't, revdev-rebuild could fail.

Thanks, I will run revdev-rebuild aroud 8 pm (French Time).
Comment 6 Daniel Gryniewicz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-05 22:22:54 UTC
Yes, delete the symlink before running it.
