Hi all,

the kernel 2.5.63+ (and some before) do only provide a special dm-module for
accessing volumes via LVM/EVMS. While the current 2.5.63 seems pretty stable in
these terms I could test, it is really completely useless for systems depending
on LVM/EVMS volumes. 

Please put some new ebuilds for both into the portage tree, and mark them as
~archX for brave testers and others.

NB: This probably requires some patching of the (ATM) current kernel 2.5.63kb3
to the new dm-module - as someone said in OPN at #evms.

actually better to mask it completely, unless it's known to work with the 2.4's as well.

Pfeifer added evms-2.0.1 (10 May 2003) into portage.

For lvm i don't know who is responsible.
