I want to have a ebuild for extra maps for tremulous. So I could emerge them via portage.

e.g.
http://tremulous.info/index.php?module=download&action=category&type=map

Reproducible: Always

Here is a quick ebuild I just put together.

Give it a try.

games-fps/tremuluos-maps-.1.0.ebuild

Don't know if this ebuild should have a version number.

Wouldn't it be more logical to just add USE="maps" to games-fps/tremulous? Other games (e.g Nexuiz, World of Padman) use it for the same function.

I download them from maps.bricosoft.com i think its right written, search via google. Then i put the maps into .tremulous/base in my home folder. There are always newer maps available there. So If I dont have a map, I go there via seamonkey and copy it there. basically a wget * map-files would be sufficient, if possible!

Hi,
this tarball which is used for maps is weekly generated so it would be hell for maintaining.
Instead of separate ebuild there is elog information in tremulous package informing user where to get the maps and how he is supposed to store them.

So this bug is thanks to it "wontfix".
