Description Henti Smith 2007-02-03 11:48:07 UTC
The iptables package is missing from the installation CD.

This is a major oversight as it's sometimes needed to run a firewall while installing a system to maintain connectivity to critical systems.

Reproducible: Always

It isn't an oversight, at all. It's not on the CD by design. However, since this is a useful package, I've added it to the templates for the LiveCD spec files for 2007.0's release.

It used to be ... I've done many installation ons firewalls using the iptables on it to keep the network up while I install the system on the HDD.

Thanks .. this is definitely a much needed package to have on the CD for my work.

Well, iptables hasn't been on the CD in *years* at least. Anyway, it's on the LiveCD now.
