media-libs/ming-0.3.0 is in package.mask due to php issues.
Some people (like me) don't care about php but need perl support instead, which isn't provided by the unmasked (ancient) ming version. Why not simply disable php support for now (as it is not available in the currently unmasked version either) and at least have all other developers have fun? There is even a big fat warning if USE=php, so masking is unneccessary.

We won't unmask it, sorry. Feel free to unmask for yourself it you don't use PHP.
