Some architectures don't have java thus only bits of kdebindings are keyworded but not the meta ebuild (in the sparc case).
If the ebuild would be more modular, say, based on USE flags (like java, python, so on) the missing ones could be masked on the profile-level.
Also it would be nice to give some options to avoid the cruft :-)

It's entirely pointless. When you don't want everything in an meta ebuild, do not install the meta ebuild.
