Description Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-30 18:00:20 UTC
Depending on alsa-lib alsa-utils and alsa-driver versions and revisions, to have Sequencer (MIDI) support you might need the midi useflag enabled, it is currently enabled by default.

Please tell users to check the status of the useflag on those three packages if they want Sequencer support (even through TiMidity++), and feel free to point users to the ability to disable MIDI support entirely if they don't need it.

Point out that the alsa-lib versions currently unmasked does _not_ have a midi useflag because disabling sequencer there can cause further problems along the way.

Thanks.

Next time, just file one bug per document. It's completely unnecessary to spam us this way.

Fixed in CVS, thanks for reporting.
