Description Robert Bridge 2007-01-29 09:54:24 UTC
I've been trying to get xen working, using sys-kernel/xen-sources-2.6.16.28-r2 from portage. My kernel boots, but fails to bring up the network card. The card works perfectly with sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-2.6.18-r6.

When I check dmesg I find the following error:
b44.c:v0.97 (Nov 30, 2005)
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:02:01.0[A] -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 17
b44: No usable DMA configuration, aborting.
b44: probe of 0000:02:01.0 failed with error -5

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
The network card doesn't work.

Expected Results:
The network card to work.

I have tried multiple kernel builds with no success...

ok, the card seems to work fine with xen-sources-2.6.16.42 from the marineam-xen overlay.

xen-sources-2.6.16.28 is long gone, newer kernels should be fine. Closing
