libghttp ebuild version FOO lists gnome-libs as a depend, but doesn't actually depend on gnome-libs. Further, gnome-libs should be checked to insure what it depends on actually are dependancies. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Attempt to emerge libghttp. Have a lightweight system. Come back to find X installed. :P Actual Results: I no longer had a lightweight system. Expected Results: Emerged only what that packages really depended on.
Er, libghttp ebuild version 1.0.9-r3.. FOO was a placemarker. -PP
err, This is not the case in my tree, can you please check your build of libghttp again. spider@Darkmere> grep DEPEND /usr/portage/gnome-base/libghttp/*.ebuild /usr/portage/gnome-base/libghttp/libghttp-1.0.9-r1.ebuild:DEPEND="virtual/glibc" /usr/portage/gnome-base/libghttp/libghttp-1.0.9-r2.ebuild:DEPEND="virtual/glibc" /usr/portage/gnome-base/libghttp/libghttp-1.0.9-r3.ebuild:DEPEND="virtual/glibc" marking as invalid.
I am a fool. Please reopen, and reassign. This bug occurs in dev-perl/HTTP-GHTTP-1.07-r1.ebuild *not* gnome-base/libghttp Very sorry for the mixup.
