Post the output of emerge -pv lirc
Comment 4 Frederik Gladhorn 2007-01-30 13:44:27 UTC
I tested gentoo-sources as well (2.6.18-gentoo-r6). I have a dvb-t remote, so I don't need any lirc-devices, I think. It worked before.

# emerge -pv lirc

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Note: I do not have ALSA built into the kernel but as seperate alsa-driver. snd-hda-intel was the only driver I compiled. I added usb-audio now. But the result seems to be the same. I will try with alsa built into the kernel when I get to it.
Greetings, Frederik

I can emerge lirc when I set a device (other than userspace).
LIRC_DEVICES="audio_alsa" emerge -av lirc
emerges fine.
But as I have a usb dvb-t card, I need /dev/input... this used to work.
Comment 7 Frederik Gladhorn 2007-01-31 00:35:09 UTC
Finally I noticed I need devinput as device. All is fine now. But does the userspace useflag do anything sensible? Should it compile then? For me this is done then. Should this bug be closed?

Reopen if you have issues w/ >=0.8.2-r2; thanks.
