A fairly trivial update; I've attached an updated .ebuild I wrote which should work.
Created attachment 107967 [details] Updated .ebuild to get x11-plugins/guifications-2.13_beta6 from upstream This is the same as the .ebuild file for 2.13_beta5, except I changed the DEPEND to =net-im/gaim-2.0.0_beta6* (rather than =net-im/gaim-2.0.0_beta5*). It just needs to be dropped into the repository to work.

Hi, guifications-2.13_beta5 should depend on _>_=net-im/gaim-2.0.0_beta5* instead of only =net-im/gaim-2.0.0_beta5*. It builds fine with gaim-2.0.0_beta6 and we will get problems due to this packet trying to downgrade Gaim (with no reason at this point btw.) A quick fix (something like my suggestion or even better; we might also want guifications to work with beta5 of Gaim, though) should go upstream ASAP. Have a nice evening, - Ionic
I'm having the same problem with guification downgrading gaim, which leads to a repetitive "emerge to b5.. no wait! emerge to b6... no, how about b5..." pattern every time I emerge.. W
Try putting my attached .ebuild into /usr/portage/x11-plugins/guifications/ and then run "ebuild /usr/portage/x11-plugins/guifications/guifications-2.13_beta6.ebuild digest". That should work, though you'll need to redo it after every emerge --sync.

Someone has to upload either this solution or that to the central portage tree, especially since it it "a fairly trivial update", too. Are all the maintainers sleeping? :) - Ionic

However the guifications project seem to have made a seperate release for beta6 from beta5. The changelog doesn't state any changes but the filesize of the archives is different. It might be better to have guifications-beta6 as a separate ebuild.
