Description Leon Weber 2007-01-21 16:44:16 UTC
I'm getting this error when attempting to build open office 2.0.4:

checking which Mozilla flavour to use... Firefox
checking for firefox-xpcom ... Package firefox-xpcom was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `firefox-xpcom.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'firefox-xpcom' found
configure: error: Library requirements (firefox-xpcom ) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

Hm, I don't have mozilla-firefox installed, but -bin. Might this be a problem? I just tried it again and now it wants to install it first, it's running at the moment.

Yes, for sure. Actually the ebuild has a dependency on >=mozilla-firefox-1.5-r9 when you use the firefox use-flag (and no support for mozilla-firefox-bin whatsoever). So you must have done something to circumvent, which actually makes this not a bug.

Nothing to do here, closing
