Description Jim Beckner 2007-01-20 14:32:21 UTC
Gaim beta 6 has been released. Request version bump.

Reproducible: Always

Stop filing 0day bugs.
Comment 2 Drew Winstel 2007-01-20 16:21:12 UTC
A straight version bump does not work with USE=mono. Setting USE=-mono allows it to work.
Comment 3 Drew Winstel 2007-01-20 18:14:32 UTC
Update:

AIM/ICQ accounts must be deleted and re-created for statuses to work properly. I assume this is a consequence of Sean Egan's change described here: http://gaim.sourceforge.net/sean/blog/aimicq.html

I managed to do this in such a way that I duplicated my entire AIM buddy list, so be careful.

Downgrading will require the same deletion/recreation.

I just upgraded.

I cann't confirm the issue with aim/icq

For me it worked fine
Comment 5 Drew Winstel 2007-01-21 23:12:45 UTC
I could have just had some cruft in my accounts.xml file that screwed me up, probably from a plugin that didn't behave nicely.
Comment 6 Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-21 23:38:41 UTC
its in the tree.
I didnt have any problem with my ICQ account, so I did not put a warning.

For the mono doesn't build problem is a patch available at sourceforge in the gaim patch tracker:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1639901&group_id=235&atid=300235

I tested the patch and it works for me.
