Description Daniel Lin 2007-01-20 07:36:01 UTC
Flumotion 0.4.0 has been recently released. Testing it on my machine, it appears to be a noticeable improvement over the previous version.

Because 0.4.0 drops support for GStreamer 0.8 and Twisted 1.3, the deps are simplified. Otherwise, no other big changes from the 0.2.2 ebuild.

I think you need to add
unset DISPLAY
immediately after unset LINGUAS in src_compile() in order to avoid the same problem as #138214, with Glade and access to the local X server.
Otherwise looks OK, although I'm not convinced gstreamer-0.10.10 will work, I have gone to 0.10.11 as it's in tree, and that works fine for me - 24hrs+ of live streaming on basically stable x86 machines.
This is a lot better than 0.2.2 (which leaks memory amongst other things).

Thanks for the review.

I never noticed the DISPLAY issue, since my /etc/sudoers causes it to always be unset when I run "sudo emerge", but I added it in as suggested, as well as a few minor cleanups.

The README in the tarball suggests that 0.10.11 is recommended, but 0.10.10 works. However, there's no harm in depending on 0.10.11, seeing as how 0.10.10 isn't even in the tree, so I made that change as well.

It runs cleanly on my ~x86 box. I suppose somebody on another arch could give this a spin too.

0.4.1 is now out. The same ebuild works for it on both x86 and amd64 machines (not fully tested on amd64 as firewire isn't working right).

I have committed a flumotion-0.4.1 into portage.
