sys-power/apcupsd-3.12.4 builds with --upscable=apcsmart if USE="-usb". This causes a non-working config since only the the upstype = apcsmart, the upscable is just "smart".

Taking over. Michael you let this package rot so much, since I need it, I'm going to take it over and take care.

Please don't say I didn't give you enough notice, last year I already asked you this much and now I'm simply tired.

Uhm this should be fine on 3.14.5 but could you please tell me if it's still the case? A quick glance over apcupsd's sources, apcsmart should be the right one, but I only have USB versions.

I don't use gentoo anymore with any UPS connected machines, so I can not help you out on this.
