When compiling Ogre 1.2.4 (with gcc 4.1.1-r3) there is a compilation error. I figured out my own problem. I had CEGUI ~x86 keyworded, and the CEGUI api has changed. Ogre-1.2.4 is meant to be used with CEGUI 0.4.1. Basically, downgrading CEGUI did the trick.
