In /etc/motd on the 1.4_rc2-basic (and possibly others), the second paragraph says to 
run 'net-config eth0', however net-config does not exsist.  The correct command is 
'net-setup eth0'.  This documentation error needs to be fixed before 1.4_final.

this has been fixed on our experimental livecds.
