has been released for a long time. but there is no version bump in portage. All these are the release version according to the changelog.

The difference between the versions in portage are svn snapshots, and the difference between them and the versions below are not relevant.

this page says the new reference policy modules need this :)

If you look closely, you'll note that I'm also the upstream reference policy maintainer. :)  The versions are fine.
