The applications has been updated for several versions now, but version in portage is still 0.3 Reproducible: Always
"This is improved koolDock v0.3, which isn't my program, but it isn't officailly developed for about two years." I'm already aware about a version bump, but it is really a fork - not a true bump :/ It would be much better, if program would be renamed... What rest of kdeteam thinks of it? Cheers, Przemek
We can slot it if you want, instead.
The new version is 0.4.3, development seems to take place. I think that warrants putting it into, e.g., a slot of its own. Would warmly welcome it myself.
We have to study further this situation. I'll look around.
After discussing it a bit, the way to proceed for now is a straight version bump. If this version is based on 0.3.x and 0.3.x is unmaintained, simply add 0.4.x into the same place, ~arch it and forget about slots for now. Conclusion: Bump as usual.
Assigning bug to troll. :)
(In reply to comment #6) > Assigning bug to troll. :) ok :) I already tried to contact with this 'bumped' kooldock maintainer (his Pole ;) ), but I didn't get any reply for almost a week :/ anyway - I'll commit a bump in hour or two (my fiance has a bigger priority ;) ). Cheers, Przemek
Ok. Commited to CVS. One more thing : I mirrored sources, since original filename is 50910-kooldock.tar.gz :/ People are sometimes strange... PS. Patch from #85071 looks like still needed - I'll try to send it to new upstream. Cheers, Przemek
