Description Richard Freeman gentoo-dev 2007-01-15 01:45:05 UTC
When attempting to create a project in dvdrip I get:

An internal exception was thrown!
The error message was:

Can't locate auto/Data/Dumper/Sortkeys.al in @INC (@INC contains: lib /etc/perl /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.2 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.2/x86_64-linux /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.4/x86_64-linux /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.6 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.6/x86_64-linux /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.7 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.7/x86_64-linux /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux /usr/lib64/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib64/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib64/perl5/5.8.8/x86_64-linux /usr/lib64/perl5/5.8.8 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/Video/DVDRip/Project.pm line 197

Sure enough no such file exists. I tried cpan install Data::Dumper, but this did not create the Sortkeys.al file. I'm not much of a perl guru, but this seems to be some sort of file needed by the autoloader.

Problem occurs with both 0.98.1 and 0.98.2, and on both my x86 and amd64 installs. Is there some kind of dependency issue?

Cool, your box must be glowin'! If you can reopen on a *sane* system, then file a new bug.
Comment 2 Richard Freeman gentoo-dev 2007-01-15 11:54:25 UTC
Relax - not every interpreted language dies when using -ftree-vectorize, and if perl did I think we'd have heard about it by now. I do generally try to look for CFLAGS issues before filing bugs...

As I indicated it fails on x86 as well, and the einfo for this system is:

Ok, I wiped out a whole bunch of old perl lib files under /usr/lib64/perl5 (all old versions), and that did the trick. perl-cleaner for whatever reason didn't touch them...
