I have a made an ebuild for the latest version. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 8613 [details] the ebuild for the new version.
Created attachment 9358 [details, diff] Patch against the first ebuild provided. This is a patch against the proposed patch. Changes are as follows: Changes SLOT to the same as the current version of getmail. Changes KEYWORDS to ~x86 ~ppc ~sparc as this ebuild has not yet been thoroughly tested. The slot change is because this version of the ebuild cannot coexist peacefully with the previous version. Since this is the case, it does not make sense to have both versions installed at the same time. Besides that, this new ebuild looks good to me.
As an additional comment, should the # fudged, don't like, but works line perhaps be excluded from the ebuild? From my understanding, this is a perfectly accepted means of performing an install, especially when no Makefile or other means of performing a "normal" install is available.
Created attachment 9610 [details] updated ebuild this includes the above mentioned patch and bumps the version to 3.1.1
Created attachment 9611 [details] matching digest
