undocumented in the sense nothing in make.conf.example installsources debugsources severe mirror lmirror sesandbox livecvsportage (understand the reasoning behind not documenting that hack)
debugsources doesn't exist (as far as grep tells me), where are you finding code that references it?
(In reply to comment #1) > debugsources doesn't exist (as far as grep tells me), where are you finding > code that references it? typo'd it, meant splitdebug.
again, make.conf.example should talk about only the common stuff as it isnt a manual ... that's the point of make.conf(5)
tend to disagree personally... that said, if that's the line you're taking debugsources and severe both would qualify as 'common' stuff in my view.
you think duplicating all of the information in both make.conf man page and make.conf.example makes sense ?
dumb question considering the level of duplication already in place.
no, that's a dumb response claiming to continue to make poor decisions because they've always been poor is just poor logic
(In reply to comment #7) > no, that's a dumb response > > claiming to continue to make poor decisions because they've always been poor is > just poor logic round and round... as I said, I disagree (and debating it isn't going to change my opinion on the matter, regardless of complaints of duplication). Meanwhile, as I said in #4, if that's the line you're taking, debugsources and sever both would qualify as 'common' in my view.
This is supposed to be fixed in portage-2.2_pre5 or earlier.
