I downloaded gentoo-grp-pentium3-1.4_rc2.iso from ftp.tu-clauthal.de and burned
it to a cd. Booting the cd, right at the root prompt I execute net-config which
yields "command not found". Issuing a "find / -name net-config -print" returns
no results.

Installing from the gentoo-basic-x86-1.4_rc2.iso the welcome or motd mentioned net-config. However, the install.txt file refers to net-setup. I suspect this may be a 
documentation consistency issue.
