I run this:
emerge -av openoffice

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Comment 1 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2007-01-12 16:31:03 UTC
The problem is that there is no /usr/lib(64)/pkgconfig/mozilla-xpcom.pc when using seamonkey. seamonkey-xpcom.pc should be used instead

As a workaround (there's a lot to grep to find where it incorrectly wants mozilla-xpcom.pc ;) ), I symlinked seamonkey-xpcom.pc to mozilla-xpcom.pc and oo build is under way (passed the mozilla check)

Comment 3 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2007-01-12 16:47:25 UTC
This is not the same error: this bug is about configure script looking incorrectly for mozilla-xpcom.pc when USE=seamonkey, while bug #161702 dealt about empty Java variables (like GENTOO_VM, ...), which was fixed a few hours ago :

I've removed seamonkey support for now until I've a little more time for a proper fix

Then, I think that this bug should be marked as "LATER" :-/

Thanks
Comment 8 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2007-01-12 21:53:45 UTC
FYI, later in the compilation, the system also looks for mozilla-plugin.pc (instead of seamonkey-plugin.pc). Hope this helps! (I'm now running the compilation again with all seamonkey-* symlinked to mozilla-* as workaround ;) ).

The patch from upstream bugreport [1] should fix it.

Seamonkey support is back in the ebuild, thanks to Hanno for the patch
