Ok, going -vvv the rsync server is up again since I wrote the first comment, but unfortunately I forgot to add me to the CC for this bug, so I did not notice your question. Just rebooted the machine (just to make sure nothing broke during update) and it seems to be fine. Yes, please add me to the round robin again - I hate this flat line on the mrtg page :-) Bye, Patrick
verified that a connection to the rsync mirror could be established. I successfully synced the gentoo-portage directory to a test dir on my machine. re-adding the server to the rr rotation. closing bug.
