Based on the IRC discussion with Uberlord: pena jarindex # rc-update add net.eth1 default * net.eth1 added to runlevel default pena jarindex # /etc/init.d/sshd start * Caching service dependencies ... [ ok ] * ERROR: sshd caught an interrupt pena jarindex # rc-update del net.eth0 * 'net.eth0' removed from the following runlevels: default pena jarindex # /etc/init.d/sshd start * Caching service dependencies ... [ ok ] * Starting sshd ... [ ok ] pena jarindex # Here /etc/init.d/sshd was waiting for net.eth0 to come up because it is using netplug. Because I was never going to plug it in, it would have waited forever. When I manually try to start a service that needs net and starts to wait for it to come up, baselayout should einfo that it is doing so.
