See http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389046 as that may throw some light on this. This may be INVALID as I have glibmm 2.13.2 from b-m-g. I'll try downgrading glibmm this weekend to 2.12.4 from Portage to see if I get the same error building gtkmm.
It builds fine with glibmm-2.12.4 from Portage, so I'm closing this as INVALID.
