Description Hal Engel 2007-01-05 12:43:01 UTC
I have been using this ebuild to stay abreast of gimp development. A few weeks ago the build stopped working. Initially I thought that this would perhaps start working as the gimp code base was updated. But the issue has not been resolved. Today I looked over the error messages and it appears that it was failing while trying to generate pygtk related code. After setting use=-python the build worked. I am not sure if this is an ebuild issue or a gimp code issue but this error has not been reported on the gimp-devel email list so I suspect it is a problem with the ebuild.

1/ We don't support live CVS ebuilds...
2/ No useful info here whatsoever.

1. This was an FYI that an ebuild in portage was not working knowing full well that since is was a live CVS ebuild at best it would it would be a long time before it was fixed. I though that perhaps the person who created this ebuild and put it into portage would like to know that it had stopped working. Perhaps I should have added this to the original bug report to help prevent an over reaction on your part.

2. The report had information on what part of the build was not working and what I did to get it to work (IE. a work around). That is significantly more information then many bug reports here have. But if you consider that to be "No useful info here whatsoever." that is fine. Sorry to have wasted your time.
