i just found out that there is ipv6 support for privoxy (see https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=649507&group_id=11118&atid=311118) and a patch already exists in privoxy cvs. since ipv6 is more and more common these days i think this should be added to the privoxy ebuild in gentoo.

Won't do it because Debian dev Roland Rosenfeldfound that this patch has too many flaws (see http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/p/privoxy/privoxy_3.0.6-2/changelog).
